We investigate rational schemes for transporting goods from China to Kazakhstan (through Kazakhstan)

October 6, 2017 The round table "Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan" KAZLOGISTICS "and the corporate foundation" KAZLOGISTICS "was held to discuss the results of KazATO research work on the topic:" Determining rational schemes for transporting goods from the People's Republic of China to Kazakhstan and transit through Kazakhstan ".

Representatives of NPP RK "Atameken", LLP "NIITK", KazATC them were invited as experts. M.Tynyshtykbaev, JSC "NC" KTZh "; Union of Truckers of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KAO), JSC "KTZ Express".

Three schemes were proposed:

The first one - the Kazakhstan motor transport is loaded on the terminals in Urumqi (China), crosses the Chinese-Kazakh border and delivers the cargo to the destination.

The second - Chinese motor transport delivers cargo to the Chinese border terminals. Kazakhstani and Russian carriers are loaded on these terminals, cross the border and carry the cargo to destination.

In the long term, a third scheme is envisaged. Chinese road transport delivers cargo to the terminals of the International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's motor transport, or road transport of another country, is loaded on these terminals, and the goods are transported to the final points.

Having familiarized with the presentation and the interim report submitted by KazAtO on the project "Determination of rational schemes for the transport of goods from the People's Republic of China to Kazakhstan and transit through Kazakhstan", participants of the Round Table noted the need to complement this work with:

• clarification of the calculation of the efficiency of cargo transportation by rail;
• the disclosure of the issue regarding the accumulation of goods in China;
• use of SCO routes;
• more detailed disclosure of the existing schemes for transporting goods from China;
• justification of the feasibility of establishing a TLC in the territory of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the round table, it was decided to finalize, taking into account the comments and proposals, this research paper on the topic: "Determination of rational schemes for transporting goods from the People's Republic of China to Kazakhstan and transit through Kazakhstan.
